Situated 50 metres from The Maltsters Arms and sitting on
the quayside overlooking Bow Creek in the middle of Tuckenhay
is Number 5, The Quay, within The Cider Press, offering the
availability of luxurious self-catering accomodation.
The Cider Press has been expertly converted from its original
use and the interior has been designed and decorated to the
highest standards, providing the utmost comfort for the discerning
visitor.
Car parking space is plentiful and the private approach
road runs between the accommodation and the water!
Number 5 comprises a large garage on the ground floor with
utility room, a first-floor entrance hall, lounge with balcony
overlooking the creek, fully equipped kitchen, dining room
with terrace and a double bedroom.
The second floor, accessed via an ash spiral staircase,
comprises a large double bedroom with balcony and en-suite
bathroom, double bedroom with en-suite shower, twin bedroom
and separate bathroom.
The house is large and comfortably sleeps eight. Television
and CD player are provided and all furnishings are modern
and stylishly colour co-ordinated.
A single-person rowing dinghy and life jacket are kept in
the garage for visitors’ use (at your own risk) but
if you would be interested in a river trip in a bigger, motorised
boat, Mike will be pleased to arrange it.
As with Mill Cottage, The Cider Press is ideally located
as a base for exploring the South Hams. It is also available
all year round and makes for an extremely relaxing retreat
over all seasons.
